A solid substitute for calf tail on wings for traditional steelhead flies. Squirrel tail tends to be a bit longer, softer, and finer making it a fun material to use. It also has a more mottled appearance breaking up the wing and blending it into the body of the fly. A fantastic substitute on smaller flies where bucktail is commonly found.
