Holographic flashabou is an essential material for the steelhead tyer. It's been made popular in patterns that require a little extra "bling". It can be used subtly in patterns to give them some extra presence in the water or in excess to make your fly stand out even in the dirtiest of water. We also use it for bodies on intruders and as flashback material for nymphs. The magnum size is an excellent choice for larger flies because it is a little wider or for wrapping a nymph body while the standard size is more suited for your average size streamer. Whatever your purpose, holographic flashabou is a must have for the modern tyer.
