Wapsi Gadwall Barred Flank Feathers

Another excellent option for all your salmon and steelhead flies. Gadwall is commonly found on a lot of the classic patterns and makes a wonderful collaring or throat material. The feathers are generally a little bigger than teal but smaller than the largest mallard feathers fitting that size 3-7 spey/salmon hook perfectly. Fine barring on the feathers adds a nice break up to a single color of hackle as well.
