We are fast approaching one of our favorite seasons on the Rogue River! SALMONFLIES! This is an epic, short lived hatch that occurs from around mid May to mid June every year and easily comprises the peak of our trout season on the Rogue. One of the funnest ways to experience this hatch is casting large Dry Flies from the front of a drift boat!
The Rogue trout opener is May 22 and the hatch goes through about mid June. If you are a fair weather fly fisher and just get out a few times a year or are an avid angler you do not want to miss this hatch!!
We are currently booking half day trips during this hatch. Most of these trips happen from mid to late afternoon and you don't even have to step foot out of the boat! Guides will provide rod outfits & flies so you pretty much just need to have an OR license and show up!
